tl;dr

This is a personal site. I don't sell anything here, so I have no reason to sell your data either. No ads, no data brokers, no dark patterns.

what gets collected

  • · Analytics — the site records standard visit data: pages viewed, referrer, browser and device type, and coarse location. This tells me what people read; it isn't tied to your identity.
  • · Contact form — if you write to me, I get your name, email, and message. That's what I reply to. It goes nowhere else. The form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which has its own privacy policy.
  • · The terminal's `trace` command — shows you your own IP and browser data, in your browser, as a demonstration of what any website can see. It isn't stored.

what doesn't happen

  • · No selling or sharing data with third parties for marketing
  • · No cross-site tracking pixels or ad networks
  • · No accounts, so no passwords to lose
